Worship - by Selwyn Hughes.
Praise is appreciating God for what He does; worship is adoring Him for who He is.
adoring Him - not for what He gives but for who He is. It is gazing on God in love and adoring Him just for Himself.
His chief aim is to restore fallen men and women to the condition where they can offer Him true worship.
No one can worship God for long without seeing and sensing the need to work for Him.
Unless we are involved with Jesus Christ in a loving and adoring relationship we have nothing of eternal value to offer a dying world.
When we teach a class of children, sing in a choir, play an instrument, give out books.... peel a potato (T's sharing), pass someone sth (wei's thoughts..) we can make all these deeds acts of worship if they are done as unto the Lord. Developing an attitude of soul, the atmosphere of one's spirit, a holy sense of awe that one lives and moves and has one's being in God.
we are not working to be saved, but working because we are saved.
experience God in worship and find that experience will lead to service for Him, and service brings beauty where ugliness reigns.
